Journaling prompts self-discovery, self-knowledge, and personal growth. Journaling with prompts can be helpful especially if you are new to journaling!

Prompts are directed questions that help you uncover things about yourself: your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and deeply held beliefs that dictate your life. These are held in the subconscious mind, completely unknown to you. Until you discover what they are, they are running the show and probably blocking you from creating the life you want and deserve!

More than anything, I want us all to reach our full potential – to live our true purpose. I want a world where people feel empowered to become who they are. If more people had this opportunity for self-reflection, the world would not have as much suffering.

That’s why it’s important to keep asking ourselves deep questions. Our subconscious minds are running the show whether we know it or not. Until you become aware of all the false beliefs and fears that are driving your life, you will continue to be a slave to them.

It’s time to shed some light on the dark corners of yourself. Bring the unknown up to the surface where you can see it and process it. If you need help you can always reach out to loved ones and professional therapists, but it’s time to start figuring yourself out.

If you want to stop recreating the same circumstances and emotions in your life, you have to uncover the beliefs and patterns that have created your life up until this point.

Journaling is a great place to start!

I used to struggle with feeling like I’d never accomplish anything worthwhile. I often felt aimless and like I was living life for other people. Living a life I hated didn’t feel like living at all. It was soul-killing.

But like you, I knew something was inside of me that was begging to come out. I knew I had something to say. I knew I had something to offer. I knew I wanted to live a life I felt proud of. But I didn’t know what that looked like. I had no idea what I wanted or who I was.

Until I started writing it all down.

Journaling was so critical for me to begin to uncover what my heart truly wanted and what my soul was calling for me to be and do. The act of writing things down for me to see all my hidden thoughts, emotions, false beliefs, and patterns was eye-opening.

It was a long process and sometimes the blank page would intimidate me. I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I’d find myself writing a list of things I had to do for the day instead of writing about the emotions I was experiencing that prevented me from getting things done.

What I needed was a guided journal.

Something that would direct my writing into uncovering what was hidden underneath. By asking myself insightful questions I was able to get to the root of my issues and weed out anything that was holding me back. I came to understand what would bring me a sense of abundance and fulfillment. I know now what gives my life meaning because I journaled consistently!

Because of my love for journaling and asking myself introspective questions I’ve created my first guided journal! It’s called, Seasons of The Self: A Guided Journal for Self-Awareness Through The Seasons.

It contains 55 journal prompts for self-discovery and 14 thought-provoking quotes, split up into the 5 Seasons of The Self. These five sections are based on the seasons of nature and the seasons of your life:

  1. Seed – Winter’s End
  2. Sprout – Spring
  3. Bloom – Summer
  4. Fruit – Autumn
  5. Return – Deep Winter

I’m so excited for you to start unraveling the vast mystery of YOU!

From the back cover:

Tap into the cyclical rhythm of the seasons: the stillness of winter, the creative playfulness of spring, the expressive dance of summer, or the reflective harvest of autumn.

It is my hope that this journal will guide you through the changing seasons of your life and encourage you to slow down to notice what may be blocking you from living a life you love.

Journaling has always been part of my own process of self-exploration, self-discovery, and self-awareness. Asking myself about my own behavior, emotions, and thoughts was a way of life. If we understand ourselves we are more resilient, compassionate, confident, and empowered to become who we truly are underneath the programming we all undergo from simply being a human in this world.

When we are self-aware we have more patience with ourselves and others which means better relationships. Which means more connection. Which means more safety. Which means we feel more free to create authentically. Which means we are capable of contributing our gifts to the world. Which means we make the world a better place. Which means more fulfillment and happiness everywhere.

Self-discovery is the first step toward revealing the beauty of the world and co-creating with your Higher Power to make it a better place. So, thank you so much to those who put their trust in me and the prompts in this journal. I wish you the best of luck on your transformative Soul Rooting journey.
